An imagination you'll want to examine...
The following is reprinted from Armchair Interviews.
Love Quirky Characters? Then Read On.
"Tony Vigorito is one of those authors who self published his debut novel, and after hand selling Just a Couple of Days, it came to the interest of a film agent who handed him the names of several book agents. The story was sold (nothing has happened to date with the film option) and Vigorito has completed his second book and is working on his third. A star is born.
Dr. Blip Korterly begins an innocent game of graffiti tag on an overpass. The words he left? Uh-Oh. A reply in question form appears. When? Then another message is left. Just a Couple of Days. What does the phrase, "just a couple of days" mean? It could mean nothing; a benign response to a game. Or it might mean something more serious.
Blip is arrested, and the books narrator, Dr. Flake Fountain, becomes entangled in a secret government research project conducted on humans. The virus being tested removes a person's ability to communicate. And when people are unable to communicate--well, it's a huge problem. It may be that humanity is destroyed. Or maybe not.
Just a Couple of Days is not for everyone. But if you enjoy quirky characters, twists you didn't see coming, a story you will think about long after you've closed the book and find you can't wait for the author's next novel, this one is for you.
Armchair Interviews says: Vigorito has an imagination you'll want to examine. Just A Couple of Days allows you to do it.”
